Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in the city of Winnipeg, but was raised in Wellington. She made her acting debut as Flora McGrath, her character in the romance film The Piano. Paquin, who was raised in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg was first seen in the acting world with The Piano. At age 11 years old, she became one of the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Paquin had a small part in the role of Jane Eyre's title character while she was a child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as an important role in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 feature film Amistad. The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as in the role of Polexia Aphrodisa character in Almost Famous (2000).
